Alpha-Terpineol – Terpene Profile
The monoterpene α-Terpineol is a major component of pine oils. Moreover, it’s present in small amounts in many other essential oils such as eucalyptus and cajeput. It is one of five common isomers of terpineol. Besides its important role in the industrial field, α-Terpineol offers a wide range of medical properties as a local anesthetic, anticancer, anti-inflammatory and antihypertensive compound.
