Infusion Instructions
Unscrew the terpene bottle’s white cap and carefully open the clear plastic seal by slowly lifting it up from around the sides.
If your extract has high viscosity and heating is required, we recommend heating the extract prior to the terpene infusion to prevent evaporation of terpenes. As soon as the extract exhibits the desired viscosity, the infusion of terpenes may begin.
Calculate the exact terpenes to be infused in the extract by using either an analytical weight or graduated cylinder.
Dilution recommendations for various applications:
Application | Recommended Terpene Concentration % |
Vape Cartridge | 1.0 – 10.0% |
Beverage | 0.05 – 2.0% |
Tincture | 0.1 – 2.0% |
Capsule | 0.01 – 1.0% |
Mix terpenes in extract by utilizing a magnetic stirrer or manually without any heat. If heat is necessary for viscosity control purposes, use low heat of no more than 60 degrees Celsius.
For the best results and flavor, let the mixture steep for at least 12 hours before using it.
When closing the terpene bottle, it is best to reseal the bottle with nitrogen gas by inserting the nitrogen pipe into the bottle and let the nitrogen gas flow inside for about 10 seconds. Then, quickly remove the pipe and close the bottle with the cap. This is the most efficient way to prevent oxidation and preserve terpenes’ freshness for the subsequent use.
Store the terpene bottle in a cool shaded place. For prolonged shelf life, keep the bottle refrigerated at 4 degrees Celsius at its upright position.
Safety first: While handling terpenes, it is always recommended to operate in a ventilated room while wearing gloves, eye protection, closed shoes and a lab coat.
Infusion Calculation Tips:
By Weight:
For an infusion of 2.0% terpenes in 100 grams of extract, weigh 2 grams of terpenes (or measure ~2.3ml) and mix it in 98 grams of extract.
By Volume:
For an infusion of 2.0% terpenes in 100 ml extract, measure with a graduated cylinder 2ml terpenes (or weigh 1.7g) and mix it in 98ml of extract.
